Promotional Scheme

Builds many Pricing Rules at once from one campaign, such as buy 10 get 1 free. No ledger effect.

In detail

A Promotional Scheme is a campaign that generates many Pricing Rules in one go. You describe the items or groups it covers, who it applies to, the dates, and one or more slabs: a Price Discount Slab such as 5% off above Rs 50,000 and 10% off above Rs 1,00,000, or a Product Discount Slab such as buy ten get one free. On save BRAccount creates a Pricing Rule for each slab and each party. Nothing posts; the generated rules change line rates and free items as any Pricing Rule does, and the invoices then post on the discounted amounts. Disable the scheme after the festival and the rules switch off together.

Formula

Slab discount = Net amount x Slab %; Rs 60,000 order at 5% = Rs 3,000 off

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Selling > Promotional Scheme > New and name it, for example Dashain 2083.
  2. 02Choose Apply On Item Group and add the groups covered; set Applicable For and the parties.
  3. 03Set Valid From and Valid Upto to the campaign dates.
  4. 04Add Price Discount Slabs: Min Amount 50,000 with 5%, Min Amount 1,00,000 with 10%.
  5. 05Save; the generated Pricing Rules appear in the Selling > Pricing Rule list.
  6. 06Tick Disable when the campaign ends to switch all its rules off at once.

When to use it

Create under Selling > Promotional Scheme with price or product discount slabs; it generates the Pricing Rules.
