Delivery Schedule Item
A child row on a Sales Order giving the planned delivery date and quantity for each item. No ledger effect.
In detail
Delivery Schedule Item is the child table on a Sales Order that lets one order be delivered in parts: each row holds an item, a quantity and the date that part should go out. It posts nothing; it only plans. The dates feed the Sales Order Analysis and Delayed Order reports, so you can see which instalments are late, and the Delivery Note picks quantities against the schedule. Without it a 100 unit order has a single delivery date, which is fine for most Nepali shops but misleading for a supply contract that ships monthly. Keep the schedule quantities adding up to the order quantity or the reports will show a shortfall.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Open the Sales Order in draft and scroll to the Delivery Schedule section.
- 02Add one row per instalment with the item, quantity and planned delivery date.
- 03Check that the rows add up to the ordered quantity, then Save and Submit the order.
- 04When each instalment ships, create the Delivery Note for that quantity only.
- 05Open Financial Reports > Sales Order Analysis to see delivered and pending quantities by date.
When to use it
Fill it in when a customer wants goods in instalments; it drives the Sales Order Analysis report.
Example from the demo books
Split 100 units into two deliveries, 60 on Bhadra 15 and 40 on Ashwin 1.
