Process Subscription
The scheduled job that creates the subscription invoices due on a date. The invoices it creates post to the ledger.
In detail
Process Subscription is the job that walks through every active Subscription and generates the invoices that are due on a given date. It runs every day on the scheduler without anyone clicking, but you can create one by hand for a date that was missed, for example after the server was down over Tihar, or for a single subscription you want generated now. The run itself posts nothing; the Sales Invoices and Purchase Invoices it creates post their usual entries when submitted, so the ledger effect is simply the sum of those invoices. Check the Error Log if a subscription did not produce an invoice; a missing tax template is the usual cause.
Accounting entry
| Account | Debit | Credit |
|---|---|---|
| Debtors - YFF (per generated invoice) | Rs 5,650 | |
| Rendering of Services - YFF | Rs 5,000 | |
| VAT Payable - YFF | Rs 650 |
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Invoicing > Process Subscription > New.
- 02Set the Posting Date to process, for example 2026-09-01, and optionally one Subscription.
- 03Save and Submit; the job runs and creates the invoices due on that date.
- 04Open Invoicing > Sales Invoice filtered by that date to review the generated invoices.
- 05Submit any that were created as drafts; each posts the entry above.
When to use it
Runs daily on its own; create one manually under Accounts > Process Subscription to catch up a missed day.
Example from the demo books
Run for 2026-09-01 to generate September invoices for all active subscriptions.
