POS Invoice Merge Log
The record of which POS Invoices were combined into which consolidated Sales Invoice. No ledger effect.
In detail
A POS Invoice Merge Log is written automatically by the POS Closing Entry. It lists the POS Invoices that were combined and the consolidated Sales Invoice, and, for returns, the consolidated credit note, that they became. It posts nothing; the consolidated invoices did the posting. Its job is traceability: when the IRD or an auditor asks where the Rs 1,130 cap sale sits in the ledger, the log leads from the counter receipt to the Sales Invoice and its GL rows. Cancelling the POS Closing Entry cancels the log and the consolidated invoices together, which reverses the posting. Never try to delete a log by hand.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Invoicing > POS Invoice Merge Log and open the log for the shift date.
- 02Read the POS Invoices table to see which counter receipts are included.
- 03Click the Consolidated Sales Invoice link to open the invoice that posted the sales.
- 04On that invoice click View > Accounting Ledger to see the cash, sales and VAT rows.
When to use it
Read only, created by the POS Closing Entry; open it to trace a counter sale to its invoice.
