Loyalty Program
Lets customers earn points on invoices and redeem them as a discount. Redemption debits the expense account you choose.
In detail
A Loyalty Program rewards repeat customers with points: each submitted Sales Invoice earns points at the rate in the program's tier, and the customer can redeem points as a discount on a later invoice. Earning posts nothing; it only writes a Loyalty Point Entry. Redemption does post: the redeemed value is debited to the expense account set on the program, so the customer owes less while income and VAT still post in full. The program fixes the conversion factor, the collection factor, how long points live and the tiers. Set the expense account to a marketing or promotion head so the cost of the scheme is visible in the Profit and Loss Statement.
Formula
Points earned = Grand total / Collection factor; Rs 36,160 / 100 = 361 points; redemption value = Points x Conversion factor
