Selling and invoicing

Loyalty Point Entry

The ledger of points earned and redeemed per customer, created automatically from invoices. No ledger effect.

In detail

A Loyalty Point Entry is one line in the points ledger: the customer, the invoice, the points earned or redeemed, the purchase amount they came from and the expiry date. BRAccount writes it automatically when a Sales Invoice for a customer with a Loyalty Program is submitted, and writes a negative line when points are redeemed. It never touches the General Ledger; the only money effect is the redemption discount posted by the invoice itself. Use the list to answer a customer who asks for their balance, to see which points expire soon, and to check that cancelling an invoice removed its points. Do not edit these rows by hand.

Formula

Point balance = Sum of points earned - Points redeemed - Points expired, per customer and program

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Invoicing > Loyalty Point Entry and filter by Customer.
  2. 02Read the Loyalty Points column; negative rows are redemptions.
  3. 03Check the Expiry Date column for points about to lapse.
  4. 04Open the Sales Invoice link on any row to see the sale that earned the points.
  5. 05If a balance looks wrong, check whether the invoice was cancelled rather than editing the entry.

When to use it

Read only; open Accounts > Loyalty Point Entry to see a customer's point balance and expiry.

Example from the demo books

Shows 361 points earned on ACC-SINV-2026-00004, expiring after the program's expiry period.
