Payment Gateway Account
Links an online payment gateway to the bank account that receives its settlements. No ledger effect.
In detail
A Payment Gateway Account connects an online payment provider, such as eSewa, Khalti or a card gateway, to the GL bank account that receives its settlements and to the currency it collects in. It posts nothing; it is the lookup the Payment Request uses to build a pay link and the Payment Entry uses to know which account the money lands in. One record per gateway and currency is enough. The gateway's commission still has to be booked separately, usually by a Bank Entry debiting Bank Charges when the settlement arrives short. Set it up only after the provider's integration is installed, otherwise the request falls back to a plain email.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Invoicing > Payment Gateway Account > New.
- 02Pick the Payment Gateway, the Currency and the bank account that receives settlements.
- 03Set the default Payment Request message template, then Save.
- 04On a Payment Request choose this gateway account; the pay link uses it.
When to use it
Create under Accounts > Payment Gateway Account; Payment Requests use it to build pay links.
