Dashboard number cards
Total Stock Value
Sum of stock value across all Bins, at valuation rate.
In detail
A Bin is the running record of one item in one warehouse: quantity on hand and its value at valuation rate. This card sums the stock value across all Bins, so it is what your inventory is worth right now at cost. The demo opened with Rs 4,50,000 of stock through Temporary Opening. The figure should match the Stock In Hand account in the Balance Sheet; if it does not, run Stock and Account Value Comparison to find the entry that was posted without a stock movement.
Formula
Total Stock Value = Sum of stock_value on Bin across all items and warehouses
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Stock; the card sits with Total Warehouses and Total Active Items.
- 02Click the card to open the Bin list; group by warehouse to see where value sits.
- 03There is no period filter; the card shows today's value.
- 04Compare with Financial Reports > Balance Sheet > Stock In Hand.
- 05If they differ, run Stock > Stock and Account Value Comparison and fix the odd entry.
