Dashboard number cards
Sales Orders Count
Number of submitted Sales Orders dated this quarter.
In detail
This card counts submitted Sales Orders whose transaction date falls in the current quarter, so it shows how many customer orders you confirmed before any invoice was raised. Draft and cancelled orders are excluded by the docstatus filter. For a tour company each confirmed booking is one order. Nothing posts to the ledger at the order stage; the number is a measure of demand, and the matching Total Sales Amount card gives its value. A falling count early in the quarter is a warning to push sales.
Formula
Sales Orders Count = Count of Sales Order where docstatus = 1 and transaction_date in this quarter
