Dashboard number cards
Total Sales Amount
Sum of rounded totals of submitted Sales Orders dated this quarter.
In detail
This card sums the rounded total, VAT included, of every submitted Sales Order dated in the current quarter. It is the value of your order book before delivery and billing, so it runs ahead of the Revenue card, which only counts invoices and excludes VAT. One confirmed order of Rs 32,000 plus 13 percent VAT shows as Rs 36,160. Because it includes tax, do not use it for the VAT return or for income tax; it is a sales management figure.
Formula
Total Sales Amount = Sum of base_rounded_total on Sales Order where docstatus = 1 and transaction_date in this quarter
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Selling and read the card beside Sales Orders Count.
- 02Click the card to open the Sales Order list for the quarter, then use the list total at the bottom.
- 03To change the period, open the card menu > Edit and set the Timespan filter.
- 04Compare with Sales Orders to Bill to see how much of this value is still uninvoiced.
- 05Invoice delivered orders so the value reaches Revenue and the Sales Book.
When to use it
Order book value including VAT, before delivery and billing.
