Dashboard number cards
Error Logs
Count of Error Log records, each one a failure the system recorded.
In detail
Every time the server hits an unexpected failure, such as a CBMS call timing out or a report crashing, it writes an Error Log record with the full trace. This card counts all of them, with no date filter, so it is a running total rather than a daily figure. A steady number is harmless; a sudden jump after an update or a failed sync is the signal to act. Nothing here touches the ledger, but an ignored log can hide an invoice that never reached the IRD.
Formula
Error Logs = Count of all Error Log records, no date filter
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to System and note the figure on the card.
- 02Click the card to open the Error Log list, sorted newest first.
- 03Open the latest record and read the method name and the first lines of the trace.
- 04If it mentions CBMS, open Nepal IRD > CBMS Sync Log and retry the invoice.
- 05Otherwise send the record to support; clear old logs from the list menu once resolved.
When to use it
If it jumps after an update, ask support to check the logs.
Example from the demo books
A failed CBMS sync would add one error log entry.
