Terms and Conditions
Standard wording printed on quotations, orders and invoices, such as validity or refund policy. No ledger effect.
In detail
Terms and Conditions is a saved block of text, such as validity of the offer, delivery, warranty or refund policy, that you attach to quotations, orders and invoices so it prints at the bottom of the document. It has no accounting effect and no numbers. Each record can be marked for selling, buying or both, and you can set a default for sales and for purchases on the Company so new documents pick it up automatically. Keep the wording consistent with what you actually enforce, because the printed terms are part of the contract with the customer. Edit the master to change future documents; already submitted ones keep the text they were printed with.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Selling > Terms and Conditions > New.
- 02Enter a title and the text, tick Selling and or Buying, and Save.
- 03Go to Accounts Setup > Company and set Default Selling Terms and Default Buying Terms.
- 04On a Quotation or Sales Invoice check the Terms section shows the text, or pick another record.
- 05Print the document; the terms appear below the totals.
When to use it
Create under Selling > Terms and Conditions and pick it on documents; set selling and buying defaults on the Company.
