Serial No Warranty Expiry

Serial numbers with warranty expiry dates, from Serial No.

In detail

Serial No Warranty Expiry is a Report Builder listing of Serial No records with their warranty expiry dates, item, customer and delivery date. The warranty date is set when the unit is delivered, from the Item's warranty period in days, or typed on the Serial No. When a customer brings a unit back, the counter looks up its serial here to see whether repair is free or chargeable, which stops arguments and protects margin. It can also be filtered to show warranties expiring soon, a chance to sell an extended service contract. It reads only the Serial No table and posts nothing; warranty repairs are recorded as Warranty Claims or service invoices.

Formula

Warranty expiry = delivery date + Item warranty period in days; rows where that date falls in the range
