Serial No Status

Serial No Status lists every serial number with its item, current warehouse, the customer it went to if delivered, and its status: Active (in stock), Delivered, Expired, Inactive or Consumed. The status is maintained by the documents that move the serial through Serial and Batch Bundles, so it is always the result of posted transactions. It is the one page view of a serialised business: how many units are on hand versus with customers, and which have been scrapped. A serial still Active that the shop cannot find, or Delivered with no customer, points to a missing or wrong document. It is a Report Builder view with no accounting effect.

Status = Active while in a warehouse; Delivered after a Delivery Note or invoice; Consumed after a Manufacture entry

1. 01Go to Stock > Serial No Status.
2. 02Filter by Item, Warehouse or Status, such as Active.
3. 03Read Serial No, Warehouse, Status and Customer per row.
4. 04Group by Status to count units in stock against units delivered.
5. 05Investigate Active serials that cannot be found and post the missing document.

Open to see which units are still in stock and which went to customers.
