Total Stock Summary
Total quantity per item across all warehouses, or per warehouse, from Bin.
In detail
Total Stock Summary gives the current quantity of every item summed across all warehouses, or broken down per warehouse when you group that way, taken from the Bin rather than the ledger so it opens instantly. It is the view for a quick answer such as how many caps do we hold in total, without the opening, in and out columns of Stock Balance. It shows quantity only, no value and no dates, and always reflects now, so it cannot be run as at month end. Use it for daily operational checks and Stock Balance for anything that goes into the accounts or to the IRD.
Formula
Total qty per item = sum of Bin actual qty over the warehouses selected
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Stock > Total Stock Summary.
- 02Set Group By to Warehouse or Company.
- 03Filter by Company; leave Warehouse blank for the company total.
- 04Read Current Qty per item; items with zero are omitted.
- 05Open Stock Projected Qty for any item whose total looks low to see what is on order.
When to use it
Open for a quick total without per warehouse detail.
