Stock reports

Stock Analytics

Item quantity or value by month, quarter or year, grouped by item group or warehouse.

In detail

Stock Analytics turns the stock ledger into a trend table: one row per item, item group, warehouse or brand, one column per month, quarter or year, showing either quantity or value. Each period column is the running balance at the end of that period, computed by adding the Stock Ledger Entry changes of the period to the previous column, so you see stock rising after purchases and falling after sales across the fiscal year. It answers questions a single date cannot: is inventory growing faster than sales, which warehouse is overstocked, which group was run down before Dashain. The chart under the table plots the same figures.

Formula

Balance at period end = previous period balance + sum of qty (or value) changes in the period, per row
