Serial No and Batch Traceability
The full chain of vouchers a serial number or batch passed through, from purchase to sale.
In detail
Serial No and Batch Traceability follows one serial number or one batch through every document it touched: the Purchase Receipt that brought it in, any transfer, the Manufacture entry that consumed or produced it, and the Delivery Note or invoice that sent it to a customer, including the batches of raw material that went into a finished batch. It reads the Serial and Batch Bundles and links them in order. For a warranty claim it proves which supplier the unit came from and when; for a recall it shows which customers received a lot. This is also the evidence trail an IRD or customs officer may ask for on imported goods. It posts nothing.
Formula
Chain = ordered list of vouchers whose Serial and Batch Bundle contains the serial or batch, from receipt to sale
