Sales Register
Every Sales Invoice for a period with net amount, each tax separately and grand total.
In detail
The Sales Register is the month's list of Sales Invoices with the customer, posting date, net amount, each tax as its own column and the grand total, plus the income account and cost center each invoice posted to. It is the traditional sales day book that Nepali accountants tally at month end before the VAT return, because the VAT column total must equal the credit to VAT Payable for the month. Cancelled invoices are excluded, and returns appear as negative rows. The demo shows ACC-SINV-2026-00004 with net Rs 32,000, VAT Rs 4,160 and total Rs 36,160 to Jivan Dahal among the 207 invoices. Use the IRD Sales Book for the statutory format; use this one for internal reconciliation.
Formula
Grand Total = Net Total + Sum of tax columns; monthly VAT column total = VAT Payable credits for the month
