Purchase Register

Every Purchase Invoice for a period with supplier, net amount, taxes and grand total.

In detail

The Purchase Register lists every Purchase Invoice of the period with the supplier, bill number and date, net amount, each tax column, the grand total and the expense or asset account it posted to. It is the purchase day book: the input VAT column is the figure you claim against VAT collected, and the TDS column shows what was withheld and must be deposited to IRD. The demo lists 125 purchase invoices including the two Market mind investment group bills, Rs 40,000 and Rs 1,00,000, which carry no VAT. Bills without a supplier PAN or VAT number cannot support an input VAT claim, so check those columns before filing. Use the IRD Purchase Book for the statutory layout.

Formula

Grand Total = Net Total + Sum of tax columns - TDS withheld; monthly input VAT column = VAT Receivable debits
