Receivables and payables

Accounts Payable

Each unpaid Purchase Invoice with supplier, due date, outstanding amount and days overdue.

In detail

Accounts Payable is the mirror of Accounts Receivable: every unpaid Purchase Invoice with supplier, due date, billed, paid, debit notes and the balance owed, aged from the due date. It is the report to open on payment day to decide who is paid first, usually the oldest bills and the suppliers who matter most. In the demo, Market mind investment group has two bills past due, Rs 40,000 for chairs and a table and Rs 1,00,000 for the Dell laptop, both unpaid. The grand total must agree with the Creditors balance; a difference usually means a Payment Entry was posted without linking the invoice. Bills with TDS show the net amount payable after the withheld part.

Formula

Outstanding = Billed - Paid - Debit notes; Age = Report Date - Due Date, bucketed 0-30, 30-60, 60-90 and 90+ days
