Accounts Receivable
Each unpaid Sales Invoice with its customer, due date, outstanding amount and ageing bucket.
In detail
Accounts Receivable lists every Sales Invoice with money outstanding: customer, due date, invoiced, paid, credit notes and the balance owed. The balance is then placed in an ageing bucket counted from the due date: 0 to 30, 30 to 60, 60 to 90 and over 90 days, so the oldest debts stand out. For a Nepali business selling on credit this is the weekly chase list; anything past 90 days is a cash flow problem. BRAccount builds the report from the Payment Ledger, so an unallocated receipt still shows the invoice as unpaid until Payment Reconciliation links them. In the demo, Jivan Dahal's Rs 36,160 is fully paid, so the report shows no outstanding rows.
Formula
Outstanding = Invoiced - Paid - Credit notes; Age = Report Date - Due Date, bucketed 0-30, 30-60, 60-90 and 90+ days
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Financial Reports > Accounts Receivable.
- 02Set Company and Report Date (today), then Ageing Based On Due Date with ranges 30, 60 and 90.
- 03Optionally set Customer, Customer Group or the Receivable Account Debtors.
- 04Read Outstanding Amount per invoice and the four ageing columns to the right.
- 05Tick Show Future Payments to see receipts dated after the report date, and Group By Party for subtotals.
- 06Click an invoice to open it, or Customer Ledger Summary for the full statement before calling the customer.
- 07Export with Menu > Export and share the over 90 days column with whoever chases payments.
When to use it
Open weekly to chase customers. Answers: who is late and by how many days?
Example from the demo books
After Jivan Dahal paid Rs 36,160 on 2026-08-31 the report shows debtors of Rs 0.
