Monthly Total Work Orders

This card counts Work Orders created in the current month, whatever their status, so it is the production planned for the month. The demo shows 0. Work Orders post nothing until material is transferred or production is finished. Reading this card against Monthly Completed Work Orders gives a simple completion rate; against WIP and Open Work Orders it shows whether planning is running ahead of capacity. A month with many new orders and few completions is a backlog forming.

Monthly Total Work Orders = Count of Work Order where creation in this month

1. 01Go to Manufacturing; the card is in the top row.
2. 02Click the card to open the Work Order list filtered to this month.
3. 03To change the period, open the card menu > Edit and change the Timespan.
4. 04Group the list by status to see how many are started, in process or done.
5. 05Start the oldest Not Started orders first so the backlog does not age.
