Item Variant Details
For template items, each variant with its attributes and stock, from Item.
In detail
Item Variant Details is for template items that have variants built from attributes: pick a template such as T-shirt and the report lists every variant with its attribute values (Size, Colour), its current stock quantity summed across warehouses, its valuation rate and its selling price. It joins the Item table to the Bin and the Item Price table. A clothing or footwear trader uses it to see which sizes are sold out and which sit unsold, something Stock Balance can show only one item code at a time. The template itself holds no stock, so it has no row of its own.
Formula
Per variant: stock qty = sum of Bin actual qty across warehouses; attributes read from the variant's Item record
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Stock > Item Variant Details.
- 02Pick the Item (the template with Has Variants ticked).
- 03Read the attribute columns and the stock quantity for each variant.
- 04Note sold out sizes and over stocked sizes.
- 05Raise a Material Request for the missing variants or a discount for the surplus.
When to use it
Open if you sell sizes or colours of the same product.
