Delayed Item Report

Delivery Note lines delivered later than the sales order promised date, with days delayed.

In detail

Delayed Item Report lists Delivery Note lines that went out after the delivery date promised on the Sales Order, with the customer, the item, the promised date, the actual posting date and the number of days late. It joins Delivery Note Items to their Sales Order Items and keeps rows where the posting date is after the promised date. Measured per item, it exposes which products cause delays, such as a line that always waits for a supplier, rather than which orders. Use it monthly to set honest delivery dates and to see whether a warehouse or supplier is the bottleneck. It has no accounting effect.

Formula

Delay days = Delivery Note posting date - Sales Order item delivery date, for rows where the difference is positive
