BOM Search
Finds Bills of Materials that contain chosen items.
In detail
BOM Search finds Bills of Materials that contain all of the items you type in, up to five, so you can locate the recipe or kit that uses a given mix of parts. It reads the BOM Item table and returns the matching BOM numbers with the parent item. It differs from Item Where Used, which takes one component and lists everything that uses it; BOM Search narrows by several components at once, useful when a BOM is known only by what goes into it. It shows no quantities, costs or stock, and posts nothing. Trading companies without manufacturing will not need it.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Stock > BOM Search.
- 02Enter one or more Item codes in the Item 1 to Item 5 filters.
- 03Tick Search Sub Assemblies to look inside nested BOMs.
- 04Read the BOM numbers returned and open the one you need.
When to use it
Open to locate which recipe or kit includes a part.
