Available Serial No

Available Serial No lists the serial numbers of serialised items that are currently in stock, per item and warehouse, with the batch if any and the date each serial came in. It is derived from Stock Ledger Entries and Serial and Batch Bundles, keeping serials received and not yet delivered. For a laptop or phone dealer it is the showroom list: exactly which units are on hand, which can be matched to the physical labels during a count. A serial on the report but not on the shelf, or the reverse, is a receipt or delivery that was never entered. The report posts nothing.

Available serials = serials received into the warehouse minus serials delivered, transferred out or scrapped

1. 01Go to Stock > Available Serial No.
2. 02Set Company, From Date and To Date; pick the Item and optionally the Warehouse.
3. 03Read Serial No, Warehouse and the receipt date per row.
4. 04Count the physical units and tick them against the list.
5. 05Post a Stock Reconciliation or find the missing document for any difference.
