Batch Item Expiry Status

Each batch with expiry date, days to expiry and quantity left.

In detail

Batch Item Expiry Status lists each batch with its item, the quantity still in stock, the expiry date and the days remaining, and flags batches already expired. Quantities come from Stock Ledger Entries per batch; the expiry comes from the Batch record. It is the monthly discipline for pharmacies, food distributors and cosmetics shops: sell, return to supplier or write off stock before it becomes unsellable, and never let an expired batch reach a customer. Items set to block expired batches cannot be delivered after the date, so the report also explains why a delivery is refused. Write offs are posted with a Stock Entry Material Issue or a Stock Reconciliation, not from the report.

Formula

Days to expiry = batch expiry date - today; status Expired when the result is negative
