Warehouse: All Warehouses - YFF
The root group warehouse that holds every other warehouse of the company. Stock is never posted to it directly.
In detail
All Warehouses - YFF is the root of the warehouse tree: a group node that owns Stores, Finished Goods, Work In Progress, Goods In Transit, Koteshwor Store and the subcontractor warehouse. Group warehouses cannot be used on a document line, because stock must sit somewhere specific, so any attempt to receive into the root is refused. Its purpose is aggregation: filter any stock report by All Warehouses - YFF and the figure is the company total, which should equal the balance of Stock In Hand - YFF on the Balance Sheet. When you set up a new branch, create its warehouse under this root so it joins the totals.
Formula
Company stock value = sum of every leaf warehouse under All Warehouses - YFF
