Price List

A named collection of Item Prices in one currency, for buying or selling. No ledger effect.

In detail

A Price List is a named basket of Item Prices in one currency, flagged as Selling, Buying or both. Standard Selling and Standard Buying come with the system; you add others for wholesale, retail, export in USD or a season. Each Customer, Supplier and POS Profile can carry a default price list, and Selling Settings and Buying Settings hold the company wide defaults, so a document picks the right list without the user choosing. Because the price list also fixes the currency, a USD export list makes the invoice bill in dollars with the exchange rate recorded. The list itself posts nothing; it only feeds rates into documents.

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Stock > Price List > New.
  2. 02Type the name, pick the currency, and tick Selling, Buying or both.
  3. 03Tick Price Not UOM Dependent if one rate should apply to every UOM.
  4. 04Save, then add Item Prices under Stock > Item Price for this list.
  5. 05Set the list as default on Customers, Suppliers or in Selling Settings.
  6. 06Check an invoice: the Price List field should show it and fill rates.

When to use it

Create under Stock > Price List and set defaults on Customer, Supplier or Selling Settings.
