In detail

A Shipment Parcel Template is a saved parcel size, such as Medium Box 40 by 30 by 30 cm, 5 kg, so that users filling a Shipment pick a template instead of typing dimensions each time. Consistent parcel data matters when a courier quotes by volumetric weight and when customs asks for package details on exports. The template is a plain master with no quantities, no stock and no ledger effect. Create a handful for the carton sizes you actually use and name them the way the packing team talks about them.

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Stock > Shipment Parcel Template > New.
  2. 02Type the name, such as Medium Box.
  3. 03Enter length, width and height in cm and the weight in kg.
  4. 04Save. On a Shipment, pick the template in the Parcel Template field and click Add Template.

When to use it

Create under Stock > Shipment Parcel Template.
