Plans a vehicle route delivering several Delivery Notes, with driver and stops. No ledger effect.
In detail
A Delivery Trip plans one vehicle run that delivers several Delivery Notes: the driver, the vehicle, the departure time and an ordered list of stops with customer addresses and estimated arrival. It can email customers their slot and, after the trip, record actual arrival times for performance tracking. The trip moves no stock and posts nothing; each Delivery Note on it already issued stock when submitted. Its value is operational: a morning trip covering three Kathmandu customers is planned once, the driver sees the sequence, and the office knows which notes left the premises on which vehicle. Submitted trips lock.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Stock > Delivery Trip > New.
- 02Pick the Driver, Vehicle and Departure Time.
- 03Add Delivery Stops by choosing the Delivery Notes; addresses fill from the customers.
- 04Click Optimize Route if maps are configured, or order the stops by hand.
- 05Submit, then use Notify Customers to email the expected arrival time.
- 06After the run, enter actual arrival times for the Delivery Trip reports.
When to use it
Create under Stock > Delivery Trip. Submitted trips lock.
