Process Payment Reconciliation Log

The progress and error log of a background reconciliation run. No ledger effect.

In detail

A Process Payment Reconciliation Log is written by a background reconciliation run. It shows how many allocations the job planned, how many are done, the current status, and a table of the individual allocations with an error message on any that failed, such as a currency mismatch or an invoice that was cancelled midway. It posts nothing and cannot be edited. Read it when a run ends Partially Reconciled or Failed: fix the cause on the documents named, then create a new Process Payment Reconciliation for what remains. The log is the audit trail that a large automated allocation was done and what it touched.

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Payments > Process Payment Reconciliation Log and open the log for the run.
  2. 02Read Total Allocations and Reconciled Entries at the top for the overall result.
  3. 03Scroll the Allocations table and filter for rows with an error message.
  4. 04Fix the documents named in the errors, then run a new Process Payment Reconciliation.

When to use it

Read only; open it when a run shows Partially Reconciled or Failed.

Example from the demo books

Shows 140 of 148 allocations done and 8 skipped for mismatched currency.
