Item Prices
Each item with its price per price list, plus last purchase and valuation rates.
In detail
Item Prices puts every price you know for an item side by side: the rate on each Price List (selling and buying), the last purchase rate from the most recent Purchase Invoice or Receipt, the last sales rate, and the current valuation rate from the Stock Ledger. The valuation rate is the cost the next delivery will charge to Cost of Goods Sold, so the gap between it and the selling rate is the margin before VAT and overheads. It is the report to run before a price revision, after a supplier raises prices, or when a product seems to sell well but earn nothing. Prices shown are before the 13% VAT.
Formula
Margin per unit = selling price list rate - valuation rate; valuation rate from the latest Stock Ledger Entry
