Chart from the Fixed Asset Register: cost, depreciation and net value over time.
In detail
This chart runs the Fixed Asset Register over time and draws cost, accumulated depreciation and net value period by period, so you see how book value declines as depreciation posts. In the demo the net value falls by Rs 1,235.54 each month as the Depreciation Entry journal posts Dr Depreciation, Cr Accumulated Depreciation. A flat line means the schedule has stopped posting; a sudden drop is a sale, scrapping or a value adjustment.
Formula
Each period = Gross cost, Accumulated depreciation and Net value from the Fixed Asset Register as at the period end
