Dashboard charts
Stock Value by Item Group
Custom chart: stock value split by item group, from Bin.
In detail
This is a custom chart: a server function reads every Bin, adds the stock value per item group and draws one slice or bar per group, so you see which product lines hold your inventory money. The demo splits the Rs 4,50,000 opening stock across its item groups. It is at valuation rate, not selling price, and it is a snapshot of today, not a trend. An item group that holds most of the value but sells slowly is where cash is stuck.
Formula
Each group = Sum of stock_value on Bin for items in that item group, today
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Stock; the chart sits beside Warehouse wise Stock Value.
- 02Hover a slice to read the item group and its value.
- 03There is no timespan on a custom snapshot chart; press refresh to re-read the bins.
- 04Click the filter icon to limit it to one warehouse or company.
- 05Open Stock > Stock Ageing for the largest group to find slow moving items.
