Supplier Scorecard Variable

A system value a criteria formula can use, such as total shipments or late shipments. No ledger effect.

In detail

A Supplier Scorecard Variable is a named number that BRAccount can compute for a supplier and period, such as total shipments, shipments received on time, total accepted items or total rejected items. Each variable points to a Python function that counts the relevant Purchase Receipts, Purchase Orders or Quality Inspections in the date range. Criteria formulas use the variable names in braces. Variables post nothing. The standard set covers delivery and quality; adding your own needs a developer to write the function, so most businesses only read this list to learn which names they can use in a formula and whether a measure is already available.

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Buying > Supplier Scorecard Variable to see the available variables.
  2. 02Open one to read its Variable Label, Param Name and the function it calls.
  3. 03Use the Param Name in braces inside a Supplier Scorecard Criteria formula.
  4. 04Create a new variable only when a developer has added the matching function.

When to use it

Mostly predefined; add one under Buying > Supplier Scorecard Variable only for custom measures.

Example from the demo books

Variable total_shipments counts the Purchase Receipts in the period.
