Supplier Scorecard Criteria

One measure, with a weight and formula, used in a scorecard. No ledger effect.

In detail

A Supplier Scorecard Criteria is one measure on a scorecard: a name, a weight and a formula written in terms of Supplier Scorecard Variables, for example on time shipments divided by total shipments times 100. It posts nothing. The formula is evaluated for each scoring period, the result is capped at the maximum score you set, and the weighted results of all criteria add up to the supplier's score. Keep formulas simple and based on data BRAccount actually records, such as Purchase Receipts and Quality Inspections; a criterion that depends on a figure nobody enters will score zero every period and drag the supplier down unfairly.

Formula

Criteria value = Formula result capped at Max Score; for example {total_accepted_items} / {total_received_items} x 100

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Buying > Supplier Scorecard Criteria > New.
  2. 02Enter the name, for example On Time Delivery, and the Max Score, usually 100.
  3. 03Write the Formula using variable names in braces, for example {total_shipments}.
  4. 04Save, then add the criteria to a Supplier Scorecard with its weight.

When to use it

Create under Buying > Supplier Scorecard Criteria and add it to scorecards.

Example from the demo books

Criteria On Time Delivery weighted 50%, using the delivered on time variable.
