Quality Inspection Template

A Quality Inspection Template is the saved checklist for one kind of product: a list of parameters, each with its acceptance rule, such as no scratches, colour as ordered, legs stable, weight between 4.8 and 5.2 kg. It is set on the Item, and every Quality Inspection for that item starts from it, so inspectors do not reinvent the checks and results are comparable across suppliers and months. The template has no quantities or accounts. Changing it affects future inspections only; past ones keep the readings they recorded. Keep one template per product family rather than per item where the checks are the same.

1. 01Create the needed Quality Inspection Parameters first.
2. 02Go to Stock > Quality Inspection Template > New and type the name, such as Furniture.
3. 03Add parameter rows with Min Value and Max Value for numbers, or Acceptance Formula or expected value for text.
4. 04Save, then open the Item and set Quality Inspection Template on the Quality tab.
5. 05Create a test inspection from a Purchase Receipt to check the rows load correctly.

Create under Stock > Quality Inspection Template and set it on the Item.
