Purchase Order Trends

This chart runs the Purchase Order Trends report, monthly for the fiscal year, and draws order value per period, so you see the buying trend across the year. The demo shows monthly order value for fiscal year 2083-2084. It counts submitted Purchase Orders at order date, before any receipt or bill, so it leads the expense that later reaches the ledger. Seasonal peaks before Dashain or the trekking season are normal; a peak with no matching sales peak deserves a question.

Each bar = Sum of Purchase Order amount per period, from the Purchase Order Trends report grouped monthly for the fiscal year

1. 01Go to Buying; the chart sits beside Top Suppliers.
2. 02Hover a bar to read the ordered value for that month.
3. 03To change the range, open the chart menu > Edit and set Fiscal Year or Period in the report filters.
4. 04Click the chart to open the full Purchase Order Trends report.
5. 05Compare with Sales Order Trends on Selling to check buying tracks demand.
