Bin

A Bin is the system's running summary of one item in one warehouse: actual quantity on the shelf, quantity reserved for Sales Orders, quantity ordered from suppliers, quantity requested on Material Requests, quantity planned by Work Orders, and the projected quantity that results. It is rebuilt from the Stock Ledger with every submit and cancel, so you never edit it. Reports such as Stock Projected Qty, Item Shortage Report and Items To Be Requested read Bins rather than the ledger because they are fast. The Bin carries no money, only quantities and the current valuation rate; if its actual quantity disagrees with Stock Balance, run Repost Item Valuation.

Projected qty = actual + ordered + indented + planned - reserved - reserved for production - reserved for subcontract

1. 01Type Bin in the search bar and open the Bin list.
2. 02Filter by Item Code and Warehouse to find one row.
3. 03Read Actual Qty, Reserved Qty, Ordered Qty, Indented Qty and Projected Qty.
4. 04Open Stock Projected Qty for the same filters to see the figures as a report.
5. 05If Actual Qty looks wrong, open Stock Ledger for the item and warehouse to trace it.
