Bank Balance

This custom chart draws the running balance of each bank account over time from GL Entry, one line per account, so you can watch the cash position day by day. In the demo the line rises by Rs 36,160 on 2026-08-31 when Jivan Dahal paid ACC-SINV-2026-00004. It uses posted ledger rows, so it shows the book balance, not the bank's; the difference is unreconciled items. A line that dips below zero is an overdraft, or a payment entered before the receipt that funds it.

Each point = Running sum of (debit minus credit) on GL Entry for the bank account up to that date

1. 01Go to Banking; the chart sits under the bank shortcuts.
2. 02Use the timespan dropdown to show the last month, quarter or year.
3. 03Hover a point to read the balance on that date.
4. 04Click the filter icon to pick one bank account.
5. 05Run Banking > Bank Reconciliation Tool when the line does not match the statement.
