Ledger Health Monitor
Turns on the nightly ledger checks and sets how many days back to scan. No ledger effect.
In detail
Ledger Health Monitor is the settings screen that turns on the nightly ledger checks and sets how many days back they scan and for which companies. When enabled, a scheduled job compares debits with credits and the General Ledger with the Payment Ledger for each day in the window and writes a Ledger Health row per day. It posts nothing and changes nothing; it only reports. A thirty day window catches problems before the VAT return is filed on those dates, while a longer window costs more time each night. Leaving it off means a broken voucher is found by the auditor instead of by you.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Search Ledger Health Monitor in the search bar and open it.
- 02Tick Enable Health Monitor.
- 03Set Monitor for Last X Days to 30.
- 04Add the company in the Companies table.
- 05Save. From the next night, Ledger Health rows appear for each scanned day.
When to use it
Open Accounts > Ledger Health Monitor and enable it.
Example from the demo books
Check the last 30 days every night.
