Bisect Nodes
Internal rows produced by Bisect Accounting Statements while narrowing down a date range. No ledger effect.
In detail
Bisect Nodes are the working rows written by Bisect Accounting Statements as it searches for the date where the Balance Sheet and the Profit and Loss stop agreeing. Each node holds a date range, the Balance Sheet difference and the Profit and Loss difference for that range, and a flag for which half the search went into next. They exist only to show the trail of the search and let you step through it; they post nothing and are not needed once the faulty date is found. A node covering Bhadra 1 to 15 with difference Rs 0 tells you the problem lies in the other half of the month.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Run Bisect Accounting Statements first; it creates the nodes.
- 02Search Bisect Nodes in the search bar and open the list.
- 03Sort by creation to follow the search from the full range down to one day.
- 04Open the final node to read the date where the difference first appears.
- 05Open the General Ledger for that date and look for the unbalanced voucher.
When to use it
Read only.
Example from the demo books
