Bisect Accounting Statements
Finds the date where Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss stop agreeing by halving the range. No ledger effect.
In detail
Bisect Accounting Statements is a diagnostic tool for the day the Trial Balance stops balancing or the Balance Sheet profit differs from the Profit and Loss. You give it a date range; it computes both statements for the whole range, then for each half, and keeps going into the half that shows the difference until it reaches a single day. It posts nothing. Finding a Rs 100 difference in a year of 174 Journal Entries by hand means reading every one; the bisect finds the day in a dozen steps, and the General Ledger for that day shows the voucher. It writes Bisect Nodes as it works.
Formula
Difference = Profit per Balance Sheet (closing equity - opening equity) - Profit per Profit and Loss, for the range
How to record it in BRAccount

- 03Click Bisect Left or Bisect Right to step, or let it run to the end.

- 05When the range is one day, open the General Ledger for that date and fix the voucher.
