Ledger Health

Daily check results: debit credit mismatches and GL versus Payment Ledger differences. No ledger effect.

In detail

Ledger Health is the result sheet of the nightly checks that the Ledger Health Monitor runs: for each date it records whether total debits equal total credits in the General Ledger, and whether the General Ledger agrees with the Payment Ledger that tracks what each customer and supplier owes. A row with a difference means a voucher was half written, usually after a crash or a bad custom script, and Accounts Receivable will not agree with the Balance Sheet until it is reposted. It is read only and posts nothing. The demo shows no mismatch for 2026-08-31, which is what a healthy day looks like.

Formula

Debit credit mismatch = Sum of GL debits - Sum of GL credits for the date; should be Rs 0

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Search Ledger Health in the search bar and open the list.
  2. 02Sort by date and look for rows where Debit Credit Mismatch or General and Payment Ledger Mismatch is ticked.
  3. 03Open the row to see the vouchers involved.
  4. 04Fix with Repost Accounting Ledger or Repost Payment Ledger for those vouchers.
  5. 05Check the next night's row shows no mismatch.

When to use it

Read only; created by the Ledger Health Monitor.
