Opening Invoice Creation Tool

Creates many opening Sales or Purchase Invoices from a table of unpaid bills when you migrate. Each invoice posts against Temporary Opening.

In detail

The Opening Invoice Creation Tool loads the unpaid customer bills and supplier bills from your previous system when you go live, as many opening Sales Invoices or Purchase Invoices from one table. Each row needs the party, the invoice number and date, and the outstanding amount; the invoice is created with Is Opening set and posts the party ledger against Temporary Opening - YFF rather than income or expense, because the income was already recognised in the old books. The result is that each customer's outstanding can later be matched by Payment Entry. Loading opening invoices against income instead would double count the year's sales.
