Manufacturing

Manufacturing is for businesses that make goods: Bill of Materials, Work Order, Job Card and Workstation, with cards for Manufactured Items Value, WIP, Open and monthly Work Orders and Ongoing Job Cards, and charts for job card, work order and quantity analysis. The demo books do not use it. Production staff would use it daily. Finishing a Work Order posts a Manufacture Stock Entry that moves raw material out of and finished goods into Stock In Hand at cost, so the ledger sees production only at completion.

1. 01Go to Manufacturing from the sidebar.
2. 02Click Bill of Materials > New to list the materials and operations for one finished item.
3. 03Click Work Order > New for the quantity to produce and submit it.
4. 04Start the order to transfer materials, then log operations on Job Cards.
5. 05Finish the order; the Manufacture Stock Entry posts finished goods.
6. 06Read Work Order Analysis and Pending Work Order for the backlog.
