Share Management
Shareholders, share transfers and the share reports.
In detail
Share Management keeps the share register that the Office of the Company Registrar expects a private limited company to maintain: Shareholder records, Share Transfer documents for issue, transfer and buyback, and the Share Ledger and Share Balance reports. The demo's Share Capital of Rs 25,00,000 is recorded against the founders. A share issue posts through a Journal Entry, Dr Bank, Cr Share Capital, and the Share Transfer records who holds which numbered shares. It is opened rarely, when shares change hands or at the annual return.

- 02Open Shareholder and create one record per owner with their details.
- 03Click Share Transfer > New, choose Issue, the shareholder, number of shares and price.

- 05Post the matching Journal Entry crediting Share Capital for the money received.
