Subscriptions

Subscriptions automates recurring billing: a Subscription Plan defines the item, price and interval, and a Subscription links a customer to one or more plans so the system raises a Sales Invoice every month or year without anyone typing it. Each generated invoice posts like any Sales Invoice, Dr Debtors, Cr income, Cr VAT Payable, and syncs to CBMS. It suits rent, maintenance contracts and memberships; review it when prices change so old plans do not keep billing old rates.

1. 01Go to Subscriptions from the sidebar.
2. 02Click Subscription Plan > New with the item, rate and billing interval.
3. 03Click Subscription > New, choose the customer, the plan and the start date.
4. 04Save; the scheduler generates invoices on each billing date.
5. 05Check the generated invoices in Invoicing and their CBMS sync status.
6. 06Cancel the subscription when the customer leaves so no further invoices are raised.
