Consolidated Financial Statement
Balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow combined across several companies in one group.
In detail
A Consolidated Financial Statement adds up the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss or Cash Flow of every company in a group as if they were one business. BRAccount lists the parent and its child companies from the Company master, converts each child into the parent's currency and sums accounts with the same name. Nepali groups with a trading company and a tour company under one owner need it for group accounts. With only Yatra For Fun Pvt Ltd in the demo it shows the same figures as the single company reports. It does not cancel sales between group companies, so inter company invoices must be eliminated by a Journal Entry or they inflate group revenue.
Formula
Group figure per account = Sum over all companies of the account balance converted to the parent currency
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Financial Reports > Consolidated Financial Statement.
- 02Set Company to the parent, Report to Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement or Cash Flow, and the Fiscal Year.
- 03Set Finance Book if you keep one and tick Include Default Book Entries; choose Accumulated Values if needed.
- 04Read one column per company and the final total column for the group.
- 05Look for inter company sales and purchases and post an eliminating Journal Entry if they are material.
- 06Export with Menu > Export for the group auditor.
When to use it
Only needed if you run more than one company in BRAccount and want group totals.
